Success Stories
- The Toronto Transit Commission has more 694 hybrid buses in its fleet, with some routes using 31% less fuel. That's more than 4 million litres of diesel fuel saved each year.
- OC Transpo in Ottawa currently has 97 hybrid buses on the road, and plans to have more than 175 by the end of 2010.
- Vancouver's public transit system, TransLink, just started using 180 hybrid buses. 39 of those buses were made by New Flyer, which is the same company that manufactured Halifax's hybrids.
